meet the faculty
Faculty member since 1997, College of Humanities
MA, Journalism-Public Relations, Marshall University
Celeste Winters became a University of Phoenix faculty member because she enjoys the way the institution structures its classes. She also believes in the University’s mission to educate working adults. “I enjoy my classes,” says Winters, a resident of Phoenix, Arizona. “I know I have played a role in advancing the lives of thousands of students.”
A small business owner, Winters provides marketing, PR, programming and fundraising services to the arts, education and social services sectors. “I’m inspired by small, sparkling moments that happen in everyday life,” she explains.
Words of wisdom
IN ONE WORD I AM
a blessing for some and a necessity for all.
FACULTY MEMBERS SHOULD
get to know their fellow faculty. What a delightfully eclectic and intelligent group!
THE MOST INTERESTING THING I’VE DONE IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS IS
create a new college program for students with intellectual and developmental delays, done for the Civitan Foundation of Arizona.
I RECENTLY WAS AWARDED
as Distinguished Faculty, presented at the Spring 2011 University of Phoenix commencement.
IF I COULD DO ANYTHING I WOULD
make it count: eliminate prejudice, unite Congress and find homes for all animals.
